I was thinking to go with a Flowmaster system, with a 50 series, 2.5" in, 2.5" out tucked up as high as humanly possibly. What have others been sucessful with, what does anyone else suggest, just curious as to if there is a better option or not. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

I'm still happy with my $23.00 glasspack after 3 months. I ripped it off on a rock once, knocked the mud out, bolted it back on. Easy, cheap.

Actually, my avatar was taken just after I ripped it off, come to think of it.

I have a Dynomax and I love it. Its loud, but not as loud as the flowmasters and it does a great job. Pretty durable, i smacked it once and it didnt dent as much as I thought it would. Just my 2 pennies.

Thats exactly what I have except I included a Magnaflow high flow cat since my stock cat was shot and I have a 2.5" tailpipe exiting straight back under the rear bumper. It sounds good and freed up a little power but its a lot louder than I expected. I'm pretty conservative when it comes to loud vehicles though, my friends all love it. Its not so loud outside, but inside is where its louder than I expected. If I had to do it over again I would get the SUV series instead of the Deltaflow, its supposed to cut down on the interior resonance quite a bit.

I've run Flowmaster and Magnaflow stuff on my Jeeps and was happy with both. The Magnaflow seems to last longer (rust etc) than the Flowmaster stuff though...

Are you guys running stainless steel or aluminized? Whats the difference I should ask?

Another question...how long will aluminized last in a full 4 season enviorment with salt and sand during the winter months?

I wanted to get stainless, unless people tell me otherwise.

Well I've got stainless on my other car but its pricey and from what I've seen its the same with Jeeps. I saw a few sites selling flowmaster 50 series and 40 series with 2.5 mandrel bent pipes in aluminized sell for half of what a stainless steel setup sells for. I'm looking for a good system thats priced well and I'm liking the flowmaster setup but I dont want it to rot out 2 years down the road.

Magna flow all the way great sound feel the difference.

I have a Flowmaster high flow cat in the garage already...so I was planning to go in that direction.

Its not the Magnaflow cat that made it loud though, its the Flowmaster 50 series.

I have heard people having problems with O2 sensers tripping engine codes with high flow cats. anyone had that problem? i know older jeeps might not have the O2 sensers and/or you might not care if you idiot lite is on in the dash.

a flow 50 delta should be quiter than a 50. i had twin 40s on my chevy w/ 3" dumps and it sounded good-didnt get the "flow" sound but close enough. a 40 or a 50 oughta sound pretty good. when i got my 84 xj it had a el cheapo muffler on it-the motor itself was louder than the muffler but i could tell when it was idling.

No, but I only have one 02 sensor.
