Went with a skeleton frame Gerber from Walmart for $24.

Cheap enough I can abuse it and not freak out every time I think I've lost it.
Combo straight serrated blade fits my hand well...

And I lost it at Floydfest...


THAT is why I don't carry expensive knives.


Ok, so I liked it, might try the SOG since I need another one...

Move to the country. Then all you need to be sure of is that the knife is sharp enough to cut rope and has a good screwdriver blade and pliers.

I usually just carry a Swiss Army knife, but when I need bigger pliers or a saw I substitute one of a collection of Gerbers and Leatherman multi-tools that seem to have come my way. The Gerber Compact Sport works pretty well and doesn't eat its way through pockets too fast.

I do have a really nice Benchmade knife with a killer sharp blade, but almost never find it useful to carry.
