Epic Pic of 2010

Not much wheeling for me this year, since my rig was totalled.

One of the last pics of her:

In September we make a trip to the Alps again - no XJ, only a ZJ and two YJ and a BMW bike.

Wheeling the giveaway XJ for the first time at WF. I was very tentative, but soon learned that obstacles like this were easy peezy.

One of the MWC crew (name escapes me) getting very unloaded later that day. Lots of good pictures on that climb.

This was at WF '10. Came through the tubes, but didn't really check the amount it dropped off into the water.. Well needless to say, my measly 2" lift and 33s weren't enough, smashed my rockers in real good.

I thought this one was pretty cool, line up on Saturday morning at WF'10. Feel free to add in names to XJs as I don't know them. I like how the TJ kind of "snuck" into the line up. :D

Wheeling in the Alps? How freakin' cool is that? I'm itching just to make it to the Rockies!!!

The most memorable pic of my rig was taken from inside.

This was the first time my fiance would drive my Jeep and I wanted the occasion to be off road, of course!
Her smiles grew bigger and bigger with each obstacle - here we were getting off camber on a logging road in B.C.
See the angle that keepsake of mine is hanging from the visor?
She loved every second of it.

The most memorable pic of another XJ - well part of one...

I had wanted an XJ D44 for years, and it finally happened in 2010.

Almost set her on the side when I was out on the maiden voyage after the XJs sex change 2wd to 4wd, good thing I had scottmcneal playing superman! :)

And the first NAXJA M&G we went to me and my ol'lady made this... Never got to try it though... :(

Here's a couple from the Barstow Cleanup

Pretty MJ

Ugly MJ:

That's my favorite from last year, only because the cab hides most of the ugly I drag around. Lion's Den in Harlan @ the Crawl.

Here's Tim in the same (long) obstacle

Yes, it's really that angle, no camera tricks, it nearly flopped forward.

first pic - you got her hooked... awesome!

second pic - looks like a d35, mind if I keep that one for the "hey guys, think I can get away with running 33s on a d35?" threads?

yeah, now if i could get her to turn a wrench...

feel free to use the pic of the d44 side by side with the d35 whenever you want.
its easy to see the d44's larger drums and center section.

Mt City/Callalantee on "Welder". That is Hadfield4wd(Matt) spotting me, I made it over but I had to pull cable for the last foot of it LOL! Matt and I are neighbors.

Again, when carnage is involved, Hadfield is usually in the midst of it! This is me helping Matt pull out his cage after a flop at Crozet.

at least you have one neighbor who won't complain about your damn jeep lowering property values!

There is something about this mountain I find epic. Photo was takin on Hwy 4 on the way to Sierra Fest in NorCal during Summer 2010. The entire SF event was epic and something I hope to do each year.

For the second pic, I'd say it is absolutely epic anytime you can wheel with your kid and watch him get stuck in the mud, snow, or rocks. Good times.

When he does it again, that's just sad.

First day of testing after the axle swap. Everything worked perfectly, such a great feeling after all the work.

WOW! I love this shot.

Probably my most memorable pic from 2010, Stuck on the Rubicon.

Another one on the Rubicon, a group of XJ's and one Toyota so nature has it he grenades his rear end. This was a 16 hour trail repair, mainly because he was the only person that knew how to fix it!
