Quit running it empty and the fuel pump will last longer, keep the tank at least 1/4 full, it cools the pump. Run it dry and the pump overheats and burns up.
Cooling system, maintain it, change coolant every 1 or 2 years.
One of my sons friends showed up here yesterday with an 94XJ 2.5 manual, he got from his grandfather. It was unbelievable, had the ORIGINAL hoses, rad and pressure cap, original wires, cap rotor and plugs, original mixing valve. Had not had the oil changed in 4 years and the valve train looked like it from what I could see thru the filler hole. Unreal... but seemed to run nice... 2wd that they are converting to 4wd from another kids 95 rolled donor.
