Elton John agrees with Arizona

Interesting. I would've expected him to be on the other side if he took a side. Well, he's gained back some cool points since his Lion King days. Still don't plan on buying his music though. :D

Oh, and big surprise that Kanye is an idiot. Also, MSN misrepresented the law. It doesn't allow police to arrest anyone suspected of being an illegal, it allows police to question anyone they have stopped for another legitimate reason and then detain them if they are unable to produce any documentation.

Most of the news outlets reporting on this also got this part of the wording incorrect as well.

Yeah yeah, the feds can suck it. They should stay out of state business, and it is already federal law anyway. They need to come live here and they WILL change their minds. FWIW, all my Mexican friends are FOR the bill, especially the ones who got their citizenship legally. The entertainment fools who are boycotting are doing us a favor - we are saving money by not going and supporting them!

I still don't see why these people are screaming "racism;" most of the police and sherrif officers are Mexican. You get pulled over for a traffic violation, you produce a driver's licence and proof of insurance. You don't have that, you are breaking the law again, and they will question your identity regardless or race, color, creed, fashion, etc. Many years ago, I was detained for not having my license (forgot my wallet). Do I think it was BS? Sure, but I understood the standards and, of course, cooperated. Being slammed against the hood of the car and bashing my head on the roof of the squad car was a bit excessive, but I got off with a $10 ticket for not carrying my license.

What most people don't understand is that this isn't just about Mexican-nationals, this is about keeping terrorists out as well.

The problem with all these boycotting entertainers is that they think that just because they are famous that we should jump on their band wagon. Rage is one of my favorite bands but I listen to them because their music rocks, not because they are left wing nut jobs, doesn't help that Zack de la rocca is the son of political activists and Tom morello's uncle was the first president of Kenya. So they are both from very political families.

Well no wonder Rage supports the Obamunists... They're FAMILY!

I will continue to listen to RatM even though they are a bunch of commies... because they're still a badass band.

I gave up on Rage long long ago because you can't listen to their music without hearing their political BS.

Too many other good bands out there. I would like to see Zack get run over by a big truck....seriously

Hey, I have a big truck... and it's for sale!
Although I take no responsibility for what it may or may not be used for after its sold :D

Not to put to fine a point on it, but wouldn't you be just a little nervous when Elton John "has your back"? :eyes:
