Election Nominations

I'm not against postponing the elections. But we need to see some nominations and acceptance posts.

X2!

We might all try tracking down those that don't frequent this forum. Some may be too busy right now going to Moab, dealing with recent hurricanes, etc.

I'm thinking about our options here. Honestly running this chapter from Colorado wouldn't be much different. Sure I'd be 11 hours from Dallas instead of 6, but that is really a moot point when it's a one day trip either way.

We could sit in limbo until someone gets nominated, but then that nomination is pretty much just an appointment and we're always unsure about what the next day would hold. I'm pretty much against this one for the uncertainty factor and leaving an election open ended like that.

We could hold elections as scheduled and JR and I could duke it out, then when whoever wins moves he could:

a. take a back seat to the VP until the next election, maintaining a seat on the BOD for tiebreaker situations.

b. Lead the chapter remotely.

c. hold special elections to fill the void and hope someone steps up to the plate at that time.

I'm open to input here guys, If we don't get any better ideas we may just have to act on one of these.

Ok so from what I am seeing there is not going to be any voting cuz only one nomination per office position?

Just checking, I have been out of the loop for the past 4 days.

Just the past four days? Really?? :)

I think the current plan is to put things off for a month because of Ike.

Well I haven't seen any further discussion or nominations of anyone else, so I was leaning towards a scenario where you will have a new president and vice president in November.

OMG, I think I agree!

:yelclap:

Well Ian... from what I can see there has been no "current plan" made just yet. The only thing that I can see is that no one minds if our chapter is ran from out of our area.

So I was just asking about the voting.....
