I searched but cannot find what I'm looking for. There was a write up or two on relocating the stock ebrake cable brackets to get more length out of them. Anyone have a link to it? Oh yea it's not the one on Madxj either that is for the 97+ xj. TIA

I just made some new of the L brackets, cut holes in them, and welded them about 1' rearward. Then I took some 1/8 steel cable, attached it to the end of the old cable and the T bracket. Its kinda booty, but its worked for about a year with no problems.

I used a 18" piece of 1.5"x1.5" angle and bolted it back where the tub goes up behind the back seat, Used the torch to make the holes and some metric threaded rod and a barrel nut to extend the bracket. It rubs cuz I bolted the bracket to high but it works.

I can snap some pictures tonight. It rubs where I put the barrel nut on to extend the treaded section. The jam nut i am using to keep the treaded section from backing out has a washer on it and I need to grind it off, just havn't got around to it. If I had bolted it on a little lower I don't think it would rub. It isn't to bad but might wear through eventually if the e-brake is used a-lot.

I'll also post some pix. I fab'd a bracket that uses the seat belt mounting tabs to bolt onto. That along with an allthread extension works beautiful.

Umm no, but I do wnat to see some images if ya got em. Old Man, I think yours might be the one I saw. Actually CJ yours sounds more like what I was thinking. I know there was a thread about this b4 but I cannot seem to find it. What thread is the barrel nut?

You need to get two right side YJ cables. Then it's just a plug and play deal
Simply remove old cables then install new cables. It works great!

I thought aobut that too. But I wanted to see my options!

Something like this?

Combined with the threaded rod?

It's been around for years in the free XJHelp pages

It may not be as flashy as a URF production, but it works.
