ebay electric supercharger?

I think it is a bunch of b.s. but, because I was bored I sent them this message;

Hi,
Sounds like a great item but..., any dyno results?
Almost sounds too good to be true.
Thanks in advance for the additional info and I look forward to your prompt reply.
Nathan

I will let you know what they reply with.

Here was the reply.

Hi Nathan
It sounds too good to be true?
Its actualy very simple Nathan, everybody knows that more fuel & more air create cheap horsepower.
The IAT mod fools the PCM to believe that the air temp. is colder which requires more fuel (IAT MOD) and that triggers more air needed for the burn (S/charger) & K&N.
HP gains are 12-43.
The K&N alone will give you 9-15HP
Actual horsepower gains will vary depending on the vehicle, octane value of the fuel, altitude, air temperature etc.
The K&N Company, a reputable Co. for over 35 years well known for the bestHigh Performance air filters, claims a 10-15 percent increase on your total Horsepower of your vehicle.
All that without even adding HP gains from the charger or the IAT speed mod
Thanks J.

I love the fact that there is no mention of the "hp gains" from the mattress inflator

100% crap

There is a sucker born every minute.....P.T. Barnum

they put a better pitch on K&N than their own freaking product...nice salesmanship.

You may as well hook up an air compressor and use that instead - at least then you can inflate your tires!

There ARE legitimate electric superchargers out there, but they cost beaucoup $$$. They also (to the best of my knowledge) are designed to run on the newer 42V architecture everybody's designing.

The best of both worlds are these new hybrid turbos/electric blowers. They are the best of both worlds - you get the no-lag response of the blower, but once the impeller starts spinning faster, there's a clutch that disengages the electric motor. Garrett first built one of these a year or a few ago, again based on the 42V architecture.
