Size 14s here too... my foot fits by the brake pedal just fine. Maybe I have more space because my floor pan is rusted out enough that my carpet is stretching some or something...

"dead man" anything is in reference to a safety switch that has to be held down for the equipment operating to function. Ex: Trains and the what not have these in case the Engineer falls a sleep or kills over.

i believe my some call them "Driver's footrest". they are very comfy and i hate driving something for a distance that doesn't have one.

Thats the point. The foot rest on the left side of the foot well is not called a dead mans pedal. As it does not function as a "dead man" anything.

Calling it a dead man pedal is incorrect.
