Droid X camera problem

Ever since downloading a bunch of apps to my phone, some of which utilise the camera, my camera has quit working. All I see is black when I try taking pictures. What's up?

I tried shutting it off and turning it back on, killing any apps that are related in any way to the camera, etc, nothing has helped.

Never mind, I pulled the battery just now and the camera is back. I also downloaded a camera app that simulates old timey cameras, but didn't use it to access the camera just now. Still an odd thing to have happen. Any ideas?
