Drill bit advice?

I'm trying to drill 2 tapered Allen head bolts off of my RE long arm kit (long arm bracket to belly plate) I've been burning up bits like crazy even with oil... Is there any bits that are decently priced that will get the job done? I'm tired of buying bits! Thinking about welding a nut on the recessed Allen head and trying to get it off like that but they are pretty much drilled out already... Any ideas?

Go slow, and push as hard as you can
ive had good luck with the dewalt pilot point bits

If you have burned a few bits already, its possible yyou have hardened the surface

The surface is a bitch!

My buddy brought over a drill bit doctor(sharpener) but I don't think it's worth a damn.

Pic of said bolt before my friend showed up with his drill bits

Uni-bits are a TERRIBLE idea, I know people love the easy-factor of unibits, but this is the completely wrong application for those.

Drill doctors work great, Ive had tremendous luck with their commercial model. It takes time to learn the skill of sharpening.

Also, wtf is a LH drill bit gonna do? If he's put enough heat into this bolt to kill multiple drill bits, no way is it just gonna screw out with a LH drill bit....
