chance_p said:i just used a hacksaw when i did cut and fold. cut reliefs and just folded it over by hand. probaly made 20 1 1/4 inch cuts on each fender. took me about half an hour to do it all. (all 4 corners)
:moon:Steve_Moore said:asp, that really looks like crap in the front (as well as the back). I did a better job with my side cutters.

Sorry dude, wasn't hating.:huh:asp387 said::moon:
do you want a cookie?
i did take my time and i think it looks fine. it's just missing a little bit of trim and paint- thanks winkosmosis. it was my first hour of ever using an angle grinder too. it might look like crap to you because i cut more metal of than most people do so i have more clearance it therefore is better for wheeling... wheeling is what we are here for right? not to hate on eachother's work.
NP, man, each to their own!asp387 said:mine's a DD but looks matter less in my book. to each his own i suppose. eh "learning to use a grinder" on these cuts wasn't bad. i'll post pics after i clean it up with some trim and paint. anyway, enough BS. back to tech.
what sort of trim have you used to line the front fenders after you trimmed them? i've heard of door trim and "protecto trim," whatever that is...
asp387 said:yeaaaah that's the stuff i was looking for. the sheet metal is thick enough for it to grab enough and stay on, right?

Here's what I got for the edges, and it was great to work with and looks great! I got 20" of it for 18 bucks or so shipped.

I chopped the hell out of my fenders today used a sawsall and bent them in with a hammer, it doesent look "GOOD" but it doesent look "BAD" either and gives me the clearance i need and that was the point of doing it. and btw you will never see my jeep at the mall or in a truck show. it is all about function. so keep polishing your rig with your panties and ill pull ya out later.
