Drag link crushed damper

probably measuring from the ground to the flare, incorporating the tire size change into the "lift height"

5 inches of spring + 6 inch bigger tire = 8 inches of lift...lol...

as stated earlier, dont let the door hit your ass on the way out...

Ok so how do you think you were treated badly? Oh know someone doesn't think your lift looks like an 8". Suck it up and move on. I do not see any pics of it,you must have deleted them. Not having any pics I cant help ya out anyways. Everyone will have there own opinion about everything. Just becouse it differs from your conseptions there is no need to get all upset. Welcome to the real world, get out of your bubble, and into real life. It seems that your questions were answered as well . Over 5" stock steering(stock geometry) wether it be stock parts or aftermarkety, homemade what ever will not work well over 5". That was alreadty stated. Your DW question was addressed also. So as you say
"All im saying is these are the parts I installed! And I came looking for help not to treated like this! Mods you can cancel my membership GOOD BY!!"
Well guess what you were helped with advice to solve your problems. You are taking it as a personnal attack or something. Whatever, take it how you must. Oh and by the way how are you measuring to get the 8" of lift. Just curious cause if you measure differant then others then a true comperision will never be made right.

I saw the pictures and read the post. I have a XJ with 5" of lift and a MJ with 6" of lift. About 5" to 5.5" looked about right where it sat at. Maybe he was miss lead abut the parts he bought. Too bad he got his panties bunched up.

thanks for the complement man , i had to put my trac bar in my steering damper location and run a 7 inch drop piman arm on there to get it to work for me , but thats with the stock steering setup and thats scared the hell outa me , so i bit the bullet and am doing a 44/9 with crossover steering , but thats not cheep lol .hope it works all out for ya man

whether its 8" of lift or 6" of lift it amazes me how some of you guys have to be abusive on your posts, maybe its because you made some of the same mistakes as him and feel better trashing someone else? granted he is very thin skinned and would not last 2 seconds on Pirates but how do we expect this group to continue to grow if we trash every noob here?

there are many good systems out there and most for under 400.00

Nobody Trashed him!

I wanted to see 8" of lift with 12" positive castor! BC in my real world experiance, the front drive shaft probably wouldn't even spin like that!

Also questioning him on his lift height is abusive? Give me a break. If i post up some shit, and it's not right and someone gives me constructive criticism, I say Thanks guys, I wasn't aware of that.

NOT, delete my member ship, i'm never coming back, goodbye, delete this thread, this is bs, i cant believe you would treat me like this :rattle:

when measuring lift it's important to consider whether you are talking about a lift vs. stock new or vs. stock sagged.

i lifted the rear of my xj 4 inches...but it was only a 1,75 inch lift...cuz i was sagged 2,25 inches to start!

and cherokeejpn2....you may want to lighten up. if someone's a jerk, (not saying anyone was), it's usually much more effective to kill them with kindness than to battle. like for example "thank you for all your help and kindness. the sport needs more people like you" is much more likely to make them shut up than starting an argument.

by reacting to a post you don't like you are getting yourself involved and by paying attention, you validate.

on forums you will get a wide variety of opinions and personalities...that's the whole point. use those you like and ignore those you don't.

this is an awesome forum, with very knowlegeable people...i would suggest it's too important a resorce to write off because of 1 disagreement with 1 dude.....also you will get much better responses when your posts make it obvious that you have done your research beforehand.

if someone argues with your lift, ask them how they would suggest measuring it.
