Finsihed with the ome 3". Oh what fun it was. Last thing to do was bleed the brakes. Got all the way around to drivers front and stripped the bleed screw! Pounded a 5/16 socket on it and it finally broke free.

Hopped in the jeep, I now have brakes, but my steering wheel is 1/8th turn to the right. Do I need to pull it?

Also I havent put my sye and shaft on yet so I have some vibes and also a clunking sound when I get on and off throttle lightly.
Any suggestions?

Thanks a ton. I wouldnt have gotten through the install w/o the help I found here. Ive put 3 suspensions on my j10 and j20, but the xj was a real bear.

On to the sye!

You just need to adjust your steering. Did you do an alignment afterwards? You could probably do a t-case drop until you get the SYE in. And check the u-joints.

Don't pull the steering wheel off.
Just below the pitman arm you will see a sleeve with two clamps bolted around it. Loosen the bolts and rotate the sleeve (wheels off the ground) until your steering wheel comes back to center.
Dufus here adjusted the steering wheel and mucked up the indicator cancellation setup...then I discovered the adjustment sleeve.

I left mine on the ground with the tires pointed straight, then loosened the bolts on the sleeve and turned the sleeve to adjust the steering wheel. Same process, but no jack stands needed. You do need to have your key in the ignition so the steering wheel doesn't lock.

Leave the rig on the ground. Point the tires in a straight line and adjust the sleeve until the wheel is close to straight. Next, leave the bolts loose on the sleeve and drive up and down your street a few times, stopping to fine tune it as you go. when you get it right, head for the garage and tighten those sleeve bolts. Take you 5 minutes and a 15mm ratchet.
