ditch your stock rear sway bar

My 98 has the 28mm front bar as shipped from Toledo. So, yes, there are a variety of stock sways out there. They range, I believe, 24mm, 26mm and 28mm. Correct me if I'm wrong on that, but I have found replacement bushings listed in those sizes.

If would be nice to beef up the sways though. Not that I'm looking to run a Gymkhana, but I may need to swerve out of the way of a Moron. We have plenty of those here...

Mine's one of them.

Some things I take for granted on my XJ some people find to be an unusal phenomenon,...mysterious and unexplainable, same for the other going thread about the 125 MPH speedometer. My XJ have both of them and I thought it was normal. I never gave either of them a second thought.

Hey! Wait a minute, wait a minute!...maybe the reason is because my XJ was manufactured late in 1996 and have the 'Country' trim. I get the left over parts which are in fact the best parts,...the scrapings in the bottom of the barrel.

I was running Addco front and rear at stock height it made a huge difference. Now I'm running the front with JKS quick disconnects and I plan on reinstalling the rear. With my OME shocks and springs and only the front installed I didn't notice the handling being any worse then before. I spend a lot of time on the freeway getting to places and I think this is where the rear is going to help out.

Not yet, I'm working on being lazy. I plan on posting my lift install at some point.

I got one of those sitting on my table here, 210kmh that came from a I think a 93' Comanche.

Does it look like mine?

I ditched my rear after I had disconects on it and it spun and blew both my back tires out. I have a front one still but its always disconected I dont know why I keep it
