Dinkey Creak Area Camping

Fellow members,

I am planning on a camping trip near the Dinkey Creak Area. I remember camping near the Dinkey Historical Bridge. Is camping still allowed? How does the area look?

Joe, I was there for the 4th. Yes camping is allowed, both in disberse and campgrounds. Check for fire regulations in the area.

The area is naturally gorgeous, though the storms of the past year, and a rather vicious pine weavel infestation have taken a toll on the trees. We found some areas to be sparce; the Dinkey Creek campground had recently felled some large trees, leaving some spots more open to the sunlight.

I still appreciate the area immensely, and the additional water flow makes the creek a treat.
