If you had to choose which would you go with?
my current ride is an '89 - stock height, c4x4 front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, an oem front skid and an arb locked d44.
or should i forget about getting a rig with straight sheet metal and focus on getting my '89 back in ship shape?
I could probably swing buying another parts rig if i knew i could part it out for the purchase price like i did with the '92 model i had.
i think I'm rambling.
I have five options.
1. dont do anything. make payments on DD, save up for lift and practice welding to make tube doors. get a new windsheild.
2. Buy a '90 model wagoneer - swap everything over, including power steering and transmission that is out on waggy. have a unique rig with reasonably straight metal and clear title.
3. buy a '99 cherokee. swap in spare transmission. sell the '89 and buy a 4-5" lift and some minor upgrades.
4. buy both. be out of money for 3-4 months. but carry over everything from my cherokee to the waggon, and the spare to the '99 bringing my xj count to assumingly, 2 and a parts donor.
5. screw the XJ and save up money for the neighbors 1957 and 1962 fc-150s, spare 4 cyl f head, 2 ramsey winches.
and still make it to ROM.
