Debate.

Have you ever seen the amount of security at a nuke plant?

I have, as I live 7 miles from Indian Point which is right on the Hudson River. If there was an attack (which sadly if someone wanted to do it with enough plotting, it could be done) it would affect roughly 10 million people very quickly, and have long term affects to the most important city in the country and quite possibly the world.

In saying this and getting back to the security topic which on behalf of Indian Point is lackluster to say the most. I have been within 200 yards of the plant on a frequent basis with no interruption from outside forces (Civilian or Military) which is a very scary thought.

The basis of my argument is to make people realize that nuclear is not a very good answer to the current crisis we are facing, although France does get 80% of their electricity from nuclear and they have done a somewhat reputable job in maintaining safety measures.
