DD with larger (36"+ tires) TROLLS GALORE

Re: DD with larger (36"+ tires)

DrMoab - hey man, I told him to put a big dumb lift on it and do exactly what he wanted to hear, apparently that wasn't good enough :spin1:

I should note that what I suggested is in line with what he wanted to hear. What everyone else suggested is in line with what is technically sound and widely accepted to be safe. Only one side of this debate is correct.

Re: DD with larger (36"+ tires)

keep in mind. this was back when 32's were cool.

Hey, you leave my tires out of this! :D

Florida guy, save us the mud bogging truck mindset.

OP, listen to KTMracer....

Re: DD with larger (36"+ tires)

So many trolls.

If it's not a XJ lifted 3" on 37's it's not NAXJA, right?

I didn't ask people what I should build, simply what I should build WITH. It doesn't occur to some people here that others may like something that they don't. God forbid.

I'm not going to Moab. I'm not entering top truck challenge.

I like Cherokees. I like tall Cherokees.

You have warned me of it's downfalls and for that I'm grateful. In the OP, however, I clearly stated that I ALREADY KNEW THEM. :yelclap:

Just curious, what would you have wanted us to say? If you knew the downfalls already, we haven't given you any new information. So, I guess I'm now unsure of the reason for the original post.

Re: DD with larger (36"+ tires)

looks stupid, who spends that much on lift and tires yet has no lockers?

Fine. Fine.

I'll stick with my 35" KM/2 (only because they are new!)... But you can't talk me out of 6.5".

Might even keep the 30 up front with some alloys and sell my 44 housing.

Probably get a Clayton kit if you really think IRO isn't up to the task (even with a 30).

And for those giving me a hard time about getting a sticker, around my area modifying the ride height of any vehicle is against the law, so get off your high horse.

6.5 isnt bad on 35's, and the 30 should be fine as long as youre not too hard on it. id keep the 44 though, and build it slowly so that IF you decide to step up later, or just swap it in and stay on 35's. sounds like a good plan now
