dash gauges

on my 99 all i have is dummy lights with a speedometer and gas gauge. how hard is it to swap out a dash cluster to one that has all the gauges, also does it need to come from the same year

Plug and play, only difference when I did my 98 was the 'security' and 'low washer fluid' lights were reversed so now when I run out of windshield washer fluid the security light comes on. I had to remove the 'low washer fluid' bulb though cause I don't have the factory security option in mine and the darn light would stay on no matter what I did...
