(Custom Bull Bar) help me decide on a color/ finish

I agree, I like the holes. Is this going to replace the front bumper, and the end caps are going to go over this, or is this kind of like a fascia, and going to cover the front bumper?

I liked the holes too, BUT they didn't look so good once the license plate bracket
was attached. Here's a pic of the last version. It actually looked sloppy.

hmmm, is there any other place you can mount the plate and do you need to run a front to be legal? if its just gonna go over the bumper id say go no holes now that i see it, but if you can cut out the bumper behind the holes that would look nice

thats a shame! fuckin license plates.... almost seems like a waste without the holes like you could have just welded a bar to the stock bumper. only logical solution is to move to Alberta then you wont need a front plate :) how are you attaching it to the bumper? are you planning on modifying the airdam to fit over the bottom lip? cant wait to see it done

I know I know... the holes were nice, but there's not much I can do with that license plate. I still think the
bar will look decent once I powdercoated it hammertone (to match my rims), and get some lights for it.

It would be nice if the bottom had pressed steel in the shape of the original holes or if the plate went over
the airdamn/ connected to my skid plate, but sometimes to have to take what you can get.

The builder already shipped it, so it's too late for me to second guess the design. I still think it will look OK once I get things sorted. I don't plan on installing it over the winter, so I'll spend the time to get it powdercoated, chose some lights, redo my grille, etc...

Incidentally, he plans on selling the design along with his other Jeep bumpers. He's calling it the 'urban bull bar' after yours truly.

Its about damn time! Looks good. Don't care for the black grille at all though. Especially with the chrome HIDs and clear signals. I would at least change the signal to smoked.Looks like those Hellas are a tight fit.

Now get started on your other mod!

I'm still not happy with the way things look, but I'm working on it.

I ordered a new grille; I will have it professionally painted gunmetal when I have some spare loot. I'm going to have the hella covers painted black, and I'm still waiting for my LED markers to get repaired... they're black chrome, so they're much darker than the ones currently in my Jeep. That should balance-out the colors so things look better.

any updated pics???

i was gonna say stainless, but now i'm curious about the hammertone?

...so on Page 2... there are updated pics :dunce:

i really dig the hammertone! looks good...
i painted my winch with the light silver hamertone... turned out nice.

i think the gunmetal grill will complete the look.

I think it looks good with the grey grill and lenses as they are. It gives it good contrast and ties everything together without any "LOOK AT ME!!!" bling going on. It looks very professional.

Oh shoot I was scrolling down thinking, man, he really needs to color match the grille! Looks great though. Post up some more pics of your finished parking lights. I have yet to see any night time shots.
