Custom Axle Builders in NorCal?

A 35 spline front HP60...
I gotta stay under $2,500. Stock shafts/joints are fine for now. I would love an ARB, but as you can see, my budget isn't all that high. To save some money, I'm trying to decide if I should get an open diff to start with or skip the shafts and joints to just get a rolling chassis.

What kinda work you wanting done to it? Narrowed? rebuild? Brakets installed? Type a list out of the things you want for 2500.

Mostly just a housing with custom width and custom caster... no brackets, the R&P/locker doesn't have to be installed, and I could assemble everything from the inner C's out. I don't even have to get everything from the same place I guess... I just thought it might be a little cheaper.

Can't remember the name but there's a shop across the street from Sacto Harley on Arden that does fab work.:wave1:

Call her on that.... then call the guys in Hunnington Beach with the company name that starts with Dyna and ends with Track...

Yeaup, could agree more. And when you do make sure you don skimp with Jim. He seems to really enjoy to send out sweet ass axles. :rtm:
 
another vote for WFO (wfoconcepts.com). I have only done business with them a handful of times, but they have always been great to work with.

They want $3200 for a loaded 60 with Dutchman shafts, gears, and a detroit... so I am betting you could get down near $2500 pretty easy.

billy, ummm, weren't you with me at my garage when we narrowed my 60? or am I halleucinating again? :)

I am pretty sure I have close to $3K in my axle with my labor. Dean (CJ66Dean) will do a custom width housing for you and can cut and respline your narrowed axle shafts. you can call him at 802-Jeep, tell him you are a friend of mine so he can really bend you over on price ;)
