get a live trap and when you catch the cat leave it in the trap with no food or water for a day it will stay away then . or you can shoot it

My pops has caught feral cats with the live catch, then put a tarp over the cage and run an exhaust hose under the tarp. He told me the older truck knocked em out in 5, maybe 10 minutes. The newer truck takes 1/2 hour min. This works on pole kitties too.

One of his buddies had a stray get caught in a live catch trap. Since the cat was in overall good health, and was wearing a collar with no tags, he decided to take it to the Denver Dumb Friends.

They took the cage with cat behind the counter and started asking history questions, started pressing for a donation, gave him the feeling they weren't giving the trap back. About that time his farm-boy pragmatism took over and he said: "Awww hell, give that thing back to me. I'll take it swimming!"

He said they had the cat out of the cage, the cage on the counter, and were telling him to have a nice day in about the time it took to type this little story.
