Elections are coming up. No not for the sleaze balls in govt. - just here.

Given the overall lack of involvement aside from a select few, is BOD just going to shrink some more, or are the positions going to have to stay open? Because is anyone going to run ?

Just wondering the fate of co chapter is all.

I’m the last director left and my position dissolves after Dec. I will not be running for any position.

I guess what positionsnhave to be there that can’t be absorbed and is anyone even interested in keeping alive.

Three is the minimum to maintain the Chapter status, Pres, VP, Treasurer. Due to the declining participation in general we voted to dissolve the director at large positions at the end of each term. So for this year that just left the Northern Director in addition to the Chapter Officers. Granted you can find the folks to run you should just have those 3 Officer positions come January.

Yes, under our current by-laws.

When I think about the Chapter, I think about all the friends I made here: I can't give up!

When we purchased our XJ in 2006, I had a family to care for and a family car to keep on the road. The XJ was out of production for a few years, but, parts were plentiful and cheap.

When I signed up here, people actually met in person, face to face, like a community. People shared information, experience, and parts. I watched High School kids explore new ideas by cutting up perfectly good cars. The Forum Moderators seemed to play an endless game of "Whack-a-Troll!" Venders courted us like we were the prettiest girl in town (and we kept our tops on)!

When I actually ponied up for Red Letter Membership, it was because I saw people in this chapter putting their hearts, minds, and hands together to fill a legitimate need.

That was then. After another cycle of work/life/family, I'll talk about now, and why I won't give up.

After talking with Hypoid I will continue as VP if we can find a Treasurer or Andrew decides to continue. Someone please step up so we can keep this chapter going.

Hell, I am now part of the Colorado Chapter and was the secretary-treasurer for the Intermountain Chapter for several years. In fact, when that chapter went under, I was left with the bank accounts. I closed them in October and took the proceeds to the Fall Fling in Moab to give to the Colorado Chapter Treasurer, but according to our national officers, he did not attend. Therefore, I am holding over $1,100.00 in checks destined for the Colorado Chapter.

Elect a Treasurer and I will send them to him. Otherwise, I may have to renew my membership and run for the office myself. I do not know your bylaws, but the IC chapter had both the Treasurer and President with signatory authority on the account. That may be an issue, as we would both have to be together to set this up.

Long story short, find a Treasurer so I can get these counter checks back into some financial institution. Sandy Steve (with the US Forest Green 96 XJ).

Hey Steve!
I’m not sure anyone was aware the IC chapter fold in was a for sure thing. I asked about it some time back, but there was no official validation of the fact.
I think there was only a few Colorado guys there at all, most who aren’t normally active in the chapter. Maybe our current guys can help get you squared away in the mean time.

If you are up for it we can nominate you for treasurer!! Would like to see someone step in so we can keep the chapter going. I am sure we could work something out as far as bank account.

Time for that 4 letter word that starts with "W" and ends with "K."

if no one else is willing to step up, I could. Just know I will probably be still working out of state until summer.
