Cross Member spport

I found a 83 XJ Chief that has a good cross member its auto. Was wondering if it would fit a 99 sport 5 speed. As far as i know the frame or lack of and body style hasnt really changed. Anyone know

All I can say is that the cross member from an 85 2.5L with a manual also worked with a 4.0L and both a manual and auto, so it seems that most cross members are pretty much the same bolt pattern, but maybe someone else can add more details.

1984.

It went on sale in late 1983, but they were sold as 1984 models.
