Cranks but won't fire, Neutral safety switch?

just wanted to post about the electric fan coming on w/ ignition, I have a sticker on the top of my fan on my 99 that says "warning, fan my come on at anytime when ignition is on"

Just thought i'd pass that along....

CHECK THE CPS WIRING HARNESS and CONNECTION BEHIND FIREWALL.

I had the same problem. Previous owner replaced the CPS twice. It would work for a little while then act up again. The problem was not the CPS but the WIRING HARNESS and also a hidden CONNECTION just a little further along behind the firewall.

It would somethimes start fine; other times it would just crank and crank. I first hardwired the main wiring harness to the CPS (driver's side near valve cover - the one you disconnect the wire end of the CPS from) which I thought fixed it. It helped but would still occasionally decide not to start...so I'd pull and tug and move crap around and that would sometimes fix it. I then followed the wires to the firewall, pulled the grommet and low and behold another connection...looked like some mickey mouse job...clear connectors that had all corroded over. Hardwired this and I haven't had a single no start since (over 6 months ago).

Good Luck
