crank sensor

Well I finally Got 5 minutes of spare time so I did some more digging the head has a very large crack with it running and the oil cap off there is a 2 inch long geyser of coolant some of it actually makes it out the fillercap opening so another 0331 bites the dust.The high idle was do to the wrong intake/exhaust man gasket it must be for a older motor the ports in the gasket are way to big. Now for my next question the cylinders don't look like they have to much wear on them the crosshatch is still somewhat visible and the ring ridge is very minimal so to keep this easy will the newer 0331 head work ok on this 88-90 short block or should expect more problems I know this is not the best head but with the coil mounts and cali. emissions i don't want to deal reinventing the wheel.
