Sean sucks.

The good news is that Flat Nasty is a fawking awesome place to wheel. I only saw a handful of trails on Saturday wheeling with a small group from Midwest Jeep Thing, and we did a mix of moderate and difficult trails, all of which caused some sort of carnage involving big rocks. I didn't bring my MJ, I just rode along for the preview, but you WILL enjoy this place as long as you're cool with a healthy dose of trail damage. We had 2 TJ's, 2 Samurai's, and a YJ on full width Ford axles. Tires ranged from 31-36" in our small group, and it was a blast. We lost a front driveshaft and a rear pinion yoke, and I haven't heard from them yet since I left early Sunday morning and they still had 2 more days of wheeling.

I have 2 evenings to get my rig armored...:shiver:

what roll cages? i've had that cage for almost a year, and the pieces i am adding now are scrap steel i have around the garage :confused1

It does sound like a good time away. I just hope all the parts I have on order show up Tuesday (preferably) and Wednesday and that I have time to get everything installed and squared away. I'm trying now to figure out how to get away from work early tomorrow and Wednesday so that I'll have enough time to give myself a fighting chance at being ready.

Getting my new power steering in is going to take more fab than I had anticipated. Plus, I discovered another electrical gremlin I need to track and kill. It's got my aux fan giving me the silent treatment.
So, as bad as this sux, there's just no way I'm going to be able to make it.

i'm out to. i decided to make a life decision last night (yeah what great timing) that i'm going to either part out the jeep or sell it as a whole. i dont want to be bashing it on rocks if i'm going to sell it.

I want to go soooooo bad, my wife is throwing a 30th anniversary party for her parents at my place this weekend, and I would love not to be there, I would rather spend the money to feed 50 people on gas but oh well. You guys have fun.

this wont be my last XJ though. i've got bigger and better plans for the next one :greensmok . i'm going to have fun with it through June and in the mean time decide if i want to part it out or sell as a whole.

Why are you taking it to the Badlands instead of Flat Nasty? Not every trail at FN is gonna tear your shizzle up... the group I was with was led by a Sami on 31's.

I was gonna say, you can't ditch the XJ due to your screen name. As long as you'll build another one, you can remain.
So, sell me your TSLs. I need 36 inch TSLs in the worst way. Send them with Brad or sell them to me June 16/17 at the Badlands.
