My son's 89 MJ, 4.0/AW4/231/short bed, 162k original miles! I bought it off of FitchVA for $250 not running. Got it fired with a new Bosch fuel pump and brought it home and began the resto-mod.

Here it is the day we brought it home;

3 months later and about 3k and countless hours of hard work!

There is not a bolt on this MJ that I have not turned(or broken!). The 4.0 was pulled out and refreshed with all new gaskets and timing chain. The interior was updated with XJ buckets and console from a 96. The rear D-35 was trashed and replaced with a 29 spline 8.25.

Yes. Still have leaf springs. My build goals was still to have a 100% usable pick up and keep it streetable as well as smogable (CA emissions). :cheers:

but they are just stock 2wd leaf packs with a 1" lift shackle
