Yes. Still have leaf springs. My build goals was still to have a 100% usable pick up and keep it streetable as well as smogable (CA emissions).

I really dig that intake to the cowl. Is that homebrew?

Turned out the faded paint wasn't..... it was a TON of wax buildup.

No other pics...... but there will be after the 3" lift and 31" km2's......:D

Holy crap that's a lot of wax! Seems like someone didn't know wtf they were doing.

One day, my MJ will look that nice ... one day.

Yeah, not sure how the hell they got so much wax on it. Definitely took quite a bit of work to strip it down, but totally worth it.

Did you know it was wax build up before you started on it? If not, i bet that was one helluva good surprise.

Nope. Truly thought it was faded paint. But running my fingers over it, it felt a bit like a candle. I dragged a fingernail across it an it cut into it.

Why can't I find something like this!?!?!

I didn't find it either..... It found me. Call it a cash-in of a huge amount of karma points or something but a local XJ guy that I sold a trailer hitch to had been following my New Gen Comanche thread and saw that I was in search of an MJ like his...... So he called me outta the blue and offered it to me.

wow. That might not be safe... and I've hauled some pretty dumb big loads with my MJ :eyes:

That is more 'on a jeep' than 'in a jeep'.

You should have been using the 5 ton for those loads :twak:
