ColoradoFest?

Everyone blasts the Air Force, until they need an airstrike. Lol.:us:

I grew up Air Force. My Great Grandpa flew in the Dutch Air Force during WWII, my Grandpa (Senior Master Sgt retired) served in the US Air Force during Vietnam, my dad (Master Sgt retired) served in Desert Storm, and my step dad was in as well.

I just chose to toughen up and join the Army.......... National Guard.

Newsflash..... The Navy has as many or more planes than the Air Force. By the time the Air Force gets planes in the air, the Navy done launched from a Carrier and took care of business.... :pirate1:

My mothers grandfather was Navy, and her brother was Marine in Nam. My fathers brothers were Marine Recon and Army Ranger Nam. And thanks to good genology research on both sides of my family I have found out that I have had family in every war this country has ever had to include the Revolution. I guess the military is genetic for me :us:

So looking forward to leaving tomorrow...much needed.

Interior is just about done...and I'm just about dead.

Haven't gone to bed before 2AM since Friday (except Saturday).

Got new tires and wheels on the tow rig. There were several other things I wanted to get done with the tow rig...but just not enough time.

Tonight I'm going to get the interior fully done, and the belly skid UHMW mounted.

All thats left that I HAVE to do would be fully bolt in driver's seat and harness, wire in a fan switch, wire in my tranny gauge and fan, reattach the winch rope, and bump the front ORI pressures down a smidge, and tighten jam nuts. I'm sure I actually forgot a few things...but i'm barely conscious as is.

Depending on how long all that takes me, i'll try knocking out some other small items. Going to try and pretty much get fully loaded tonight so we can leave right after work tomorrow.

Yeah, I've basically got mine all ready. I've been working on it sun up to sun down. I have some more things I want to do but they aren't necessary. I think today I'm going to relax, go see a movie, and get the jeep loaded. I plan to leave between 10 and 11 tomorrow.

Gotta be a good feeling Dutch.

I thought I was much further/better off than I was.

As always...things took longer than expected...partially due to not fitting or just being a PITA to do now with panels in.

I could easily use another couple weeks of work (one week for the tow rig).

But, its not like I'm driving across country, Moab, or JV. Its a 4 hour drive I've already done with the buggy in tow, so i'll live.

I'll get to relax when I've made it to the campground, set up camp, and can sit by a fire with a beer in hand :D

Until then, I get to feel super cracked out

I know how that is. I was pretty burned out after yesterday/last night. The nice thing about this trip is it got me doing things I've been meaning to do to the Jeep. I finally got the floor plates bolted in for the a-pillar of the cage and then trimmed my rocker trim pieces to go back in and cover up the wiring harnesses. I also finally got a CB back in my Jeep, something I've been meaning to do since I bought it.

Those of you going, have a good time and drink one for me please!

All loaded up and ready

Saw you truckin' down I-25 a little bit ago. You look like the damn Clampetts with all that stuff crammed in the jeep! :spin1:

That is one lucky hound!

Just got home, it was a very good trip. My son and I both had a really good time.

Where's your rig? I see a rig from Illinois and a rig from South Dakota, only 4 from CO. Chinamans, Thursday. I have more, they will be in the COfest14 thread.
