The forums are NOT being brought down by this place....
people forget that last october, 175+ jeeps-worth of people just got back from having met each other face-to-face.....
ANYTIME a

event takes place were e-personas meet each other in REAL LIFE, it begins a comraderie and familiarity that will OF COURSE be brought onto the boards, wether ya like it or not. We are not an internet club, we are a jeep club primarily focused on EVENTS. Our EVENTS have inspired the board, not the forums NOR THE DEN.
At around the same time last year, we were dealing with the fuckbag from new york. Occasionally, this has been identified as a "cause" for other things.
And then the den was created.
it is human nature to try to find causal-efficacy in things. It is no surprise that the den would be blamed for all of the heated open debate going on these days. The den is an easy target, and a sacrificial lamb.
Taking the den away and trying to invent systems hoping to limit or control personas will backfire. Sociological experimentation should not be performed by those whose greatest amount of governing experience is "3rd grade class president".
The forum is such because we've grown in size that currently has 650 paid members, many of which are alpha-personalities, and a large percentage of which have met each other, and have become FAMILIAR with each other to the point where it has become comfortable to share ones brutaly honest opinions.
Blame it on the den all ya want people of the colorado chapter, but until you re able to properly identify and understand who we are and what we've become, you won't be able to "fix" a goddamn thing.
