Colorado Chapter BOD Nominations Thread.

Ok, keeping in line with bylaws, November 1st is the official first day to make nominations for those members willing to step up and represent our Chapter.

Using this thread, any MEMBER may post the name of the person they'd like to nominate for any one of the 3 BOD positions. Again, only MEMBERS may make a nomination. Any nominations posted by any non-member will be removed from this thread.

Additionally, each nomination must be seconded by a MEMBER before that nominee can be considered.

And then finally, the nominee must be a MEMBER and must post in this thread that he/she accepts the nomination.

Nominees: Once you have been nominated, seconded and you've accepted, please go to the National Member's forum and create your own thread about yourself, why you want to be elected for the position you've been nominated for and any goals you'd want to achieve should you be elected for your position.

NOTE: I'm going to step out on a limb, outside of the bylaws and say that I don't see a problem with a member nominating a non-member or forum supporter for a Chapter BOD position. However, that nominee MUST be able to aquire full paid up member status BEFORE Nov. 15th with enough time to be able to post their own thread in the Member's forum.

This is not the forum to discuss BOD politics, agendas, qualifications, ideas, goals, etc. This is simply to represent the names of those who are to be considered for the elections that will take place on Nov. 15th.

Again, the positions up for election are: President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer.

Let me throw this out there real quick. Curious as to why you would like a candidate thread started in the Members Forum? Since this is a local election, and really only voted on by our majority, I would expect the candidate threads to appear in our chapter for the best exposure to our people. I believe this is how it is normally handled. Though I can't be sure, whatevers clever though, I'm easy.................:farmer:

Because only Members can vote, therefore Membership privilege would dictate that we use the Members forum to conduct Member business. (And National wants it that way.) :twak:
