Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Not a football fan but love the classic Broncos. Have you seen the concept Bronco? Don't know anything about it but it looks incredible.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Saw a classic today. He stopped to let Blanco and I cross Wahsatch. Very built, very nice, great sound. Blue and white with a hood scoop.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Did they somehow have the new helmet design in 1975?

EDIT... NM. Just saw it was restored when the badges were added.

I was right there with you Bryson...... to the point I did online research as I initially questioned it's authenticity.

These Broncos had their VIN plate stamped with a DSO# of 763000. According to the dealership webpage where they feature this Bronco, they say it has this DSO stamping. DSO = Domestic Special Order.

It would take me approximately three seconds to die if I tried one of those bikes.

Install your lift with no shim, or if you want to guess start with a 3deg shim.

MEASURE your pinion angle, and more importantly your operating angle (difference between the driveshaft angle and the pinion angle).

For ujoint life you should keep your working angle at about 2-3deg. in other words your pinion should be 2deg - 3deg below your driveshaft.

NOTE - this is assuming you do not have a double cardon joint at the t-case (stock is single cardon). If you install a slip yoke eliminator kit with a double cardon joint the pinion angle should be right in line with the driveshaft...
