That truck is the $3000 "1987" MJ for sale on craigs that has no pics in the ad. It has a "2.9" V6.

Spoke to him, his son posted the ad incorrectly listing so info. Confirmed it's an '86 with the 2.8L. He texted pics. Looks like they were having fun modifying it anyway.

WAY over priced.

Edit......He's posted pics now.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

What is this LKQ you speak of?

The 6100 North Federal Blvd location.

I was there Saturday to pull a spare engine, transmission, rear seatbelts, tail light housings, rear struts, front drive hubs, spare tire, and a few other odds and ends for the 1994 Subaru Justy I just picked up. Would have gotten more parts, but it didn't have what I needed. (Actually, assuming it's in usable condition, if someone can pull the whole multifunction stalk switch assembly off it and ship it, I'd be much obliged, and will gladly pay. I didn't realize mine was going to fail halfway through the drive home.)

Wait...are you back in CO!?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Home, as in "Central MA?"
Yup. Got a one way ticket, landed in Denver at 9AM Saturday, got my 4x4 5 speed 3 cylinder shoebox car, hit the junkyard for spare parts, then drove it two thousand miles home :looney:

Wait...are you back in CO!?

Well, I was until Sunday around noon. Would have loved to get beers with everyone in the area, but needed as much time for unforeseen repairs on the roadside as possible.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I keep looking at the Jeep and can't decide on a wheelbase before I start cutting the back ...I'm on 42s will possibly try 43 sx next tire to taste the sticky Kool-aid the 106-107 seems ok ,but I think some boatsides and a 112-115 and a few inches lower will climb the big ledges and waterfalls much better than 106-ish ...Damn 1st world problems and choices ...LoL

Re: The Colorado BS thread

There's an old folk song:

"Way, hay, and tow them away, the Lincoln Park(north Chicago) pirates are we.
From Skokie to Gary, there's no tow too hairy,
And we always collect our fee."

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Looking for help/ located in Colorado springs. Single guy- no time to work on my own truck but I can use an oil change.

Is anyone here using the LED shop lights from Costco? I remember seeing a thread about them but now I can't find it.

I think Freerider15 and I discussed them in this thread a couple pages back.

I have 4 in my tiny garage, and like them. They are worth the price when they are on sale, instant on in cold weather, and very little power draw.

The color of the bulbs seems to be a personal opinion kind of thing, but they look great to my eyes.

They are NOT going to burn your retinas out, but they are just as bright as the generic T5 (T7?) lights I have in my other garage.

And everyone knows, LEDs gets all the girls. :lecture:

Yup, got 11 of them in the garage.

Love them. They're quiet, just as bright if not brighter than my T12's, pull less amperage, fire up immediately, and are lighter.

As well, I much prefer the color temp on them compared to my T12's (though they're both "rated" 6000k).

And with Costco's return policy...should one ever go out on you...your covered.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

And so it ends.....
Today was my last day at Source Refrigeration.
I left because of my wife's recent medical emergencies. I simply can't be as far from home as they were sending me.
So Monday I return my van and start looking for my next fulltime gig. As much as I'd love to get out of a service van, that's where the money is. It's a young man's game, and I'm not as young as I like to think I am.
It's back to "more of the same" until something better comes my way.
I really need to get shit-faced......but I haven't done that in nearly 30 years.
