Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I've been in my neighbor's leaf sprung YJ running 37's and he made Carnage w/o winching or bouncing off the reviter. On the other hand another guy in the group snapped a front chromoly D60 shaft.

My neighbor is a far better wheeler than I am, and I'm pretty sure he could still manage it.

Lol...It's not like I was on the rev from the entrance to the exit...lol...But just a couple obstacles where a very good throttle bump seemed the only line for my set up and the position I ended up lined up in...Example I crawled up the V-notch in a very easy boring manner ,but after cresting the the top of the notch I could not mange to hold a line that would allow me to CRAWL over the large boulder in the middle at the top ,so about 4 good throttle bumps and it was over I had to do that one other time , But the point which was to Mike and had nothing to do with Carnage canyon itself was that I completely understand the LOGIC of using quality parts ,as those throttle bumps would not be possible on Boggers with cheap parts in the 60 ...lol...somehow stating that 35s are not the sweet spot for running Carnage canyon has MIKE erupting with aupset comments as if this was Dick measuring contest .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That right there is funny. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Yeah B/C when I hit the trail I take the easy lines ...Yep...that's exactly how I roll you know that I do nothing but aim for flat ground and the first time it gets tippy I bypass . So tell me Matt when a rig bumps a large rock and does nothing but have a little tire lift do you still nearly shat yourself like it's a big deal...lol...Yep I do nothing but easy lines and hardcore to me is skipping the tire shine at the carwash .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Anyone have thoughts on the Orielly's master-pro brand U-joints or the Precision brand sold there I need to do my Dodges AAM 9.25 axle shaft U-joints shortly and I'm not sure about those brands the OEM have lasted for 140k and are just getting loose , So I don't need anything crazy ,But don't want something that has me back at it again in 6 months .

Replace with OEM?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Haha. You have obviously never wheeled with me if you think I take easy lines.
I don't have a bruised ego. If anything you have inflated it. Everything you are saying about running that trail in the sized rig I did was total opposite of how it went. So I must be a far superior driver than you anticipate.
You do have a big mouth. You talk a lot of shit and have nothing to support your cause. You just blow off the facts and start taking on someone else instead of realizing that your point has already been proven wrong. Just talk talk talk talk. And all we hear is blah blah blah I'm a little bitch. No one cares. Your dick is huge 1ton. Huge. Seriously. My dick pales in comparison to yours. It's ginormous. Feel better? :roflmao:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Key my infraction in 3....2.....
You remind me of the ken block video we were all just talking about.
You have the biggest baddest parts in a rig and talk a big ass game but you haven't done a god damned thing that hasn't been done by rigs way smaller than you. Yet we are the idiot and you are a god. Lol.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I have seen unlimited matt drive damn near upside down and only suffer minor leg trembles, but those could have been do to old age.

Well go ahead deflate your oversized Melon B/C no one is giving you accolades for any special trail ability ...I and anyone wanting to run the trail on 35s could manage it ,but as stated it just would not be that fun it would be more like work than fun ...And the current trail conditions are harder than when you ran it ,which is why the minimum tire size stated on the sign has been bumped up to 39s ,which obviously that is in general and by no means set in stone ,but is has changed because the trail has since you ran it .

You keep making an argument like someone said..."MIKE CAN"T RUN CARNAGE ON 35s'" ,which has not been said ...infact it has not yet been said it can't be run on 35s period ,but what has been said and I beleive truth for most is that a fullbody rig on 35s is not going to run it well , sure some may do it easier than others which can attributed to things like driving ability and rig differences a suzuki samurai on 35s is not like a suburban on 35s a fullwidth XJ is not like a skinny XJ ...blah blah blah , But in general 35s fullbody and Carnage Canyon do not mke for a fun day of trail running ...FOR MOST...but I guess when I said said that 35s and fullbody are not the hot set up for Carnage Canyon that meant you as you are the only person to ever own a set of 35s and wheel I guess hwat you had left in straight sheetmetal was once a fullbody ...lol...you just can;t say Because you ran it well that it is a good trail for the set up in question .

He seemed to get excited easily when I did nothing but lift tires bumping up on a rock the day he rode with Cyril ?

But anywho Mike seems to think I go out for the show&shine apporoach and the I'm so cool look at me factor ,But you have wheeled with me and you know I go out just to challenge myself and i'm in contest with no one just out for a fair challenge and a good time . Hey I wanted to put 35s on my Didge ,but apparently Mike is the only guy they ever molded a set of 35s for :spin1:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My father has never fourwheeled with Cyril except for penrose in my tj. Only time we have wheeled with you was at spring creek in his beauty queen.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

For what it's worth, the sign has said 39s since I knew what 4low was.

My first trip there was 2014 I was told it said 35s before ...But obviously the majority of folks don't feel 35s are the hot set up for the trail or the sign would be stating much closer to 35s ...like I said 35s in GENERAL which is much broader spectrum of rigs than just Mikes or even yours it spans that gap of much more than TWO rigs ,so as stated for most it's not going to be a fun day of wheeling ...Mike seems to have the notion he is the only guy they molded a set of 35s for ?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nope Jdxj. Led. Yella. And a few other guys have done it just fine on 35's.
All the 35's are on miatas towing dodges on low pros.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

No. I just can't talk about anyone else's driving or rig. You didn't say 'mostly' or 'generally' in your original statement. It was a broad statement that if it was to be done it would be a winch fest and super slow.
I posted what I know based on personal evidence in the contrary. Any of the guys above could do the same.

And ya the sign has said 39 for years.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm not. I was referring to his prior
Comment of you towing with your Miata. It was an irrelevant and pointless comment to match his pointless remarks.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well this is a BS thread. It's all irrelevant and pointless. Well done, Mike! :)
