Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Dude, I've been sprayed with sulfuric and nitric acid with less results. How the heck did that happen?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well its production water (oil well) mixed with some dirt and rust at a decent psi coming out a tiny hole. It tore me up good. Getting it cleaned was less fun.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Sure hope it didn't inject any hydraulic fluid or oil under the skin or you are looking at amputation soon. The doc would know that, though.

Also, that previous pic popping up on my screen unexpectedly was rather unpleasant. Nothing I can't handle, but some warning or a link would have been nice. Ouch.

Hope you heal up fast, being injured sucks.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

More of a physical wound than a chemical one. Pressurized liquid is dangerous. Looks like it hurts. It would take me 2 months to heal. :)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

OMG, if that pic bothers anyone, stay off the interwebs.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

It's pretty tame, but I wasn't exactly expecting it to pop up.

(I've eaten butterscotch pudding while staring at tubgirl before on a bet, I swear I'm not a pussy :spin1:)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ya they had to pull all the metal and scrub me down. I go back in on Monday to get cleaned up and check again. I figured it was just some big cuts but they kept making it very clear to me to treat as a chem burn due to all the stuff in it. I dunno I just do what I'm told. Out of work til Tuesday at earliest. Blah. Sucks.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Damn. Feel better Mike. I'm sure that stung something wicked. Just keep up with the Workers Comp doctors and make sure you don't miss any visits.

Just a random observation - Did that burn remove a tattoo? It looks like it starts at your wrist.

Ya I'm on top of it with docs. No that is a lone tattoo on my wrist. Nothing we up that arm.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I got a real crisis on my hands here. The cup holder in the Subie broke. How in the hell am I gonna get to 300,000 without coffee? If anyone is at a bone yard and sees an in dash model from 2000-2007 I would gladly supply you with a tasty sixxer for pulling it. It comes out easily with 2 Phillips screws.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Hey Mike, word of advice for you. When you see liquid spraying out at extremely high pressures from heavy equipment its not a household sprinkler for you to play in. Its even been reported to cause slight injuries. :D

Seriously though, ouch. I hope you recover well.
