Re: The Colorado BS thread
This tattoo BS needs to be dropped. The military needs to put this effort into taking care of our vets. THIS would improve their overall appearance.......
Good Luck. This country has a long and storied history of abusing the Wounded Warrior. The preferred method is to kick them to the curb and hope they die, quietly, before any civilian notices.
Other countries hold their Military in high regard. Great Britain is, perhaps, the best of the lot.
If I sound bitter, it would be due to my getting kicked to the curb after I got out. I was actually 4F when inducted and the USAF attempted to discharge me, whilst in Basic Training, for a medical condition that was "existing prior to service". So far, so good. Then, USAFMPC made the determination that even though my condition was well documented and obvious to anyone with eyes in their head, I was upgraded to 1A because...

What happened was I walked into the Majors office and sat down. He asked me one question and did not even bother to take a look. He asked, "Is it hurting you right now?" Being truthful, I replied, no. It was at that point that I became 1A. Never mind that the manual he should have looked at distinctly says 4F.
When I was told that I was going to be kept in, I was told that I had no worries as the condition then became Service Connected.
So, after my right knee collapsed while standing on the wing of an EC-121D aircraft which caused me to fall to the ramp, I was taken off the flight line and assigned desk duty.
Then the time comes for me to leave. As I was on very restrictive waivers, the decision was made to give me a parting "physical". Something that normally did not happen. And guess what... As if by magic, my condition which deteriorates and has neither cure nor effective treatment, was gone. I was declared 100% good and kicked to the curb. All without any form of actual diagnostics. Not even an X-ray...
Thus started the near 10 year fight which I lost.
The reason I lost?
