Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

What are you running david?
Plus (if you are referencing the 1/4) those subis have really close gears so you are constantly grabbing the next gear.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

sigh. So June was fire, July is flood... will August bring swarms of locust to devour me? We had a flash flood last night, impressive enough to deposit up to an inch of mud throughout our basement (also known as our only finished space and living area)... furniture is in the garage, floors are pulled, and I am being serenaded by the sounds of large fans. homeless again... SERENITY NOW!!!

14.6 @95 was as fast as it would go with a crappy launch. My buddy broke my accessory cable so I couldn't adjust my launch control numbers. My 60' was 2.0 so with a good launch I am thinking I could get lower 14s

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Never ever ever let a guy named Derrick Rendon touch your car. Ever. even if he pays you.

you on e85/7? What psi you running?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Haha alright I have never heard of him... Running e85 and 17-18psi on stock turbo. 275hp,29- torque and last night it weighed 3333 with me in it.

It's all backwards, if we got thi rain last month we wouldn't of had fires and because of no fire we would have no flood....

Stupid weather

He is the whore of the car scene. knows a lot to talk. can talk all day. But is responsible for countless motors (hence why is no longer on his brothers race team - d series hatch running in the 9's awesomeness) But people still let him tune their cars. He is alllll bad.

Ya for a stock turbo you cant really expect much. The scoob isn't really a drag car anyway. Way better on a course where you always seem to have a perfect gear.
Are you sti? whats center diff set at? 60/40?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

And he isn't here much.
But big congrats to Mr. Peach on sealing the deal for getting him a Mrs. Peach.

The Colorado BS thread

14.6 is about where my car was at when I took it to Bandimere with just the chip and car back exhaust. I was also getting a flashing CEL from major misfires caused by way too old factory plugs.

The S4 weight 4000lbs plus and is also way too tight ratioed for the drag strip. I think I was doing around 93-95 at the end of the 1/4 and having to shift into 4th gear right before the end.

I was shifting into fifth at 1000' and yeah that is all my car is too, exhaust and tune.

I am just a wrx so I cant adjust the diff or anything and its only a 5 speed.

Sorry to hear about this Chris. That sucks. Let me know if you need anything such as help and I'll do what I can to make it happen.

No diff adjustment on mine either. I would think the 5spd would help compared to my close ratio 6spd. Sounds like its a wash, although needing 5th gear at under 100mph is weird to me. My 2000 VR6 GTI would tap 90 in 3rd gear with its 5spd.

Biggest issue with my car besides the massive weight and AWD is the fact that 1st gear is practically useless. It's such a low gear you're redlining almost as soon as you let out the clutch.

I ran my best time off the groove where I was able to actually get some wheel spin out of it. I'm sure with more practice and better launching technique I could've done better. I was told that I should've been running 14 flat or even a 13.9 instead of the 14.6 I managed too eek out on my last run. I was doing the 4500rpm clutch drop and pray technique. I actually destroyed my front engine snub mount in the process and have cuts in the liner under the hood from the hose clamps on my intake runners.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I probably won't ever find myself at the track again with this car. I have found I like it much better on dirt roads

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ya the "hella UNflush" poster child subi makes me happy. Put forester struts, and 29's? Iroks on his 03 with newer style front clip swap. Does work in that thing. That's where the car just gives the bird to the evos or other cars running faster in the 1/4

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I would love to actually lift it with forester stuff but my girlfriend wont let me do anything to it. I really would love to sell it and get a wrangler but my parents and girlfriend wouldnt talk to me anymore... guess it will stay how it is for another year or so untill I am settled in my own house and all that grown up stuff.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I wanna go a tad lower on my subie! And get some nice offset "dish" style wheels. I don't plan on racing or anything just gonna be my daily till I get somethin newer in a couple years. Gonna go for a newer possibly a Cummins to tow the jeep with. I've been drooling over my buddies 96 dodge.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

wait..... just found a guy parting out a forester... car needs an alignment anyways... thanks mike...
