Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

traded them from a guy that had them on a tj that were previously on an xj that was previously on the cover of 4WD in 2007 or something. Tires were donated and rims donated for the photo shoot I guess.

It probably is the same tires. These tires came off of a TJ, but the owner used to have an XJ. The funny part was he was complaining about the guy who did some welding for him in Parker... 2 out of the 3 welds already broke. He then told us about a transfer case with 4-1 in it that this same dirt bag tried to sell him but he couldn't get back together correctly.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yup josh. He bought the 4:1 out of the white jeep i flopped and pulled it apart to see how it worked and couldnt get it back together. LOL. Its the same tires. Guy was a lil weird but good guy

Re: The Colorado BS thread

lol. small world.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

we will see dutch... We will see. I havent had a rim this straight in many many many years. even tradding my tires and wheels for his wheels was a good deal in my opinion. 37x12.50x17s are poping up everywhere for cheapish too...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Thats because the 37 is the new 35 and the 17 is the new 15. I'm just saying the ProCrap will not perform as well as your KM2's.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I had nothing but good experiences with the 2 sets of Pro Comp Muds I've had. Took HeepII through all the nastiest stuff, no rips, great traction. They do tend to chunk as they age a bit but for the money, I'd buy 'em again. And at least they stay round. These MTZ's I've got now are some wobbly sonsabitches.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Front end-
Truss installed- DONE
tubes welded-DONE
c's Braced and welded
Lower control arm skids
Cut and extend lower control arms for more stretch-DONE ALONG WITH UPPERS
maybe have to move track bar mount (cut and weld forward a bit) -DONT NEED TO DO. BUT I MOVED THE COIL BUCKETS AN INCH BACKWARDS AND BOXED THEM ALL IN
Front frame stiffners
DROPED 14MM DEEP SOCKET INTO UNIBODY:soapbox:

Middle-
fix the damn transfercase linkage by welding in little spacer.
Door guards (skinning the lower half like my quarter pannels)

Rear-
Finish making rear truss
Install it
weld tubes
Inside swing out rear tire carrier for spare 37 maybe...

All around goal:
get jeep ready to wheel with 37s. Stretch Bumpstop, and ontop of that I might move my shock mounts to retain same amount of travel, but in droop instead of uptravle.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I've got a 15mm socket rolling around in the passenger side frame rail. Out of a new set. :(
