Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Spent the weekend under a truck. The manual wasn't good for much, it was learn-as-you-go wrenching.

I'm a tired, sore, mo-fo. All my work clothes are in the washer, the water is a muddy brown color.

I have to take the truck apart again. A new flywheel and clutch assembly should not shriek like a banshee, and/or spit sparks out the bell housing.

Just one friggin detail that I missed when the flywheels were side by side. :smsoap:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

See...if you would have been wearing them you probably wouldn't have hit the "submit reply" button twice.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nope, bifocal safety glasses are hanging over my workbench. Must be your sugar daddie's, Miss Ellie.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Curse you stupid shifter bracket on driver side of t-case that limits access to nuts holding t-case to transmission. Curse you!!!!!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

that bracket is the bane of my existence. Thankfully I am currently running a high tech "crawl under the jeep and use your right thumb" tcase shifter, so I was able to eliminate the bracket entirely.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Have you ever stripped that nut off? In the words of a great man...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

no but I came damn close. I forget how I ended up getting it out, I think a variety of 4 letter words and some heat persuaded it.

I particularly like how they make the hole sized just perfectly so you can't get a gearwrench OR a ratchet and socket on it. I guess they want you to buy a u-jointed 9/16" socket just for those two bolts.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Drove my first 18 speed today...oh man that was interesting. Hoping for more seat time next week.
