Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

No 37's to start, but who knows down the road. That's what is making me think that big. I don't want to have the, "i knew I should of gotten x but am stuck with y" kinda thing. I have looked at 4.5 ish lifts, both long and short arm. In the future (like when I hit the lottery) I want to do a 4 link rear. And don't want to get the belly hung on stuff either, I do that enough just with my beer belly lol. Lower is better I know that, but to low has its own issues. So iron rock ain't all that great, rustys track bar sucks, rc's bushings suck. So what is left? Or pick from the least of the evil(s)?

BTW thanks for helping a jeep noob with all my dumb questions.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

if I were lifting an XJ with purchased (not fabbed) parts, and lived in the springs, I'd use SeriousOffroad longarms, and likely some tera-flex coils, as I like their spring rates. I'd pick up the 4" BOR flexe leafs currently in the CO for sale section, or hit up Yella for a new set if they weren't available, use JKS or TnT dogleg shackles and likely a shackle-relocation bracket. I'd pick up a TnT HD track bar system, and then I'd wheel the snot out of it.

This guy is on something ehhh

Fixed. He sounds like a guy with NO time who's itching to build another XJ brick, doesn't he... ?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

not delivered yet, but yes, mini-bowler-bowtie-boy. :moon: Along with a gutted house, and addition to build, a WJ that needs work before it leaves pavement, two boys in school, work up to my eyeballs, carpel-tunnel syndrome, indigestion.... wait, this isn't the rant thread!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

its fine for DD'ing, but its a squeaky bucket of bolts. I need to track down all the squeaks, elevate its fat arse by moving the gas tank up, wire the rear locker, etc., etc., etc. I think I may try to clone myself, if I can find the time...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

265's are a pretty good choice IMO, just upgraded from 245's to 265 duratracs, and i'm loving them so far, can't wait for the first snow!

......and yes, i'm still around, and will be more often now.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

gah! I want that set up for her!!!!

PM sent Mike. I think I was mistaken...... I think I do still have a set of 4 of those packed up on the rack at the lot.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Iron Rock's adjustable UCA bracket gives me the heebie jeebies, personally.
Xwhatever.

RC or Serious. RC has treated me extremely well and I have heard nothing but good things about Frank's work, and he's local so you can go pee on his door handles if something goes wrong :laugh2:
