Re: The Colorado BS thread

Hey so the torque converter is spinning and I doubt I have 28 pounds on them. Have locktite on and hate to have it dry in the wrong spot. Only wrist tight with tiny 15mm box end and it's spinning. Tried to put some leverage in the tiny holes with round screwdriver/extension, etc, but can't get it stopped. Flat head screwdriver on the teeth?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ouch, not gonna happen tonight especially since I cant drive it to someone on jack stands...Someway to wedge the crank remotely with a lever?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

All I did was get each bolt to the very bottom. Or a little bit past. When you go to tighten it, it won't be able to spin.
I got the 4 bolts plenty tight by doing it this way.
Let me know if you don't understand. I will try to explain better.

Yeah I don't know, I read 12 threads about it before I started and someone wrote about getting it spun around for the next one but I don't remember much chatter about getting it to stop. It spun on me all the way up and almost behind the top left side of the inspection plate opening. Was getting tired and hungry so I stuck a flathead in a tooth and braced against the left side. Got several extra pounds on the bolt, going to call that good and hope it's at 28.

I can get some help for the other three, or brace the crank somehow.

Still don't understand how anyone got a torque wrench on it. I can't hardly get a socket on it. Box end fit fine.
