Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Finally got in some junkyardin' after being stuck with OT for a couple months. My Ranger didn't care much for the result. :)

New dent? What didn't the Ranger care for? :dunno:

That's a really clean D44 you found. What's under wraps?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

A Ford V-8...you shiveee guys call them "boat anchors." :D

It's been riding back there for three weeks now, no change in fuel economy. :(

Actually, now that I think about it, that is the fomoco lowering kit. :D

There is usually a bit more air above those back tires.

Jeezus.......... the kid lived, but he's perma-phuked up.

Backing out of his driveway and got t-boned by someone going WAY too fast. That car was incredible before this happened......

CRIPES! Was that local? That (was) a sexy looking '68?, '67? Can't see if it has vent windows now that its a taco... I presume the driver had some serious cervical issues from that kind of side impact. :(

looks like a '67.....(insert crying smiley here)

looks like a honda that hit him.... :smsoap:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

It was a '68 (as supported by the side marker lights - first year they were required.)

Not local, saw it in an S-10 forum.

I believe it was a Camry that did it...... some girl texting as I recall the story went from the threads. She was ok after initial transport to the hospital. Probably took a week for the taste of the air bag dust to diminish and likely sore as hell, but no lasting issues.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

You guys seen this Cheap Cherokee that Ian on Xtreme 4x4 is doing? Seems like he must have gotten a STEAL on the Jeep.

As he said, he has it locked, winch, 4.5in lift, 33's, gears for less then $3,000 including the cost of the Jeep...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

thats about how much i woulda been into mine at that point :dunno: doesnt seem too shocking. i think it is very doable

edit: for that i was in the jeep 2800 btw

thats also including the fact that they are doing all of the work. they have all the tools and such needed to do pretty much anything.
that being said, someone who doesnt have the tools or know how to say change gearing or install lockers.... it would cost a little bit more.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

depends on how you buy it

i bout mine pre lifted licked rear and on 33's for 1800 with some extras. sold the axtras for 300 geared it locked the front and got steering for 600, then addition 300 for winch is +900 onto the 1500 i was into it. so 2400. if you dont count the extras i sold off it i was in it 2700 - and thats with sliders too.

easy to do

Re: The Colorado BS thread

jim that price was paying for the steering and paying for the gears and install. I installed the sliders.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ya Mike but we all know that buying Bought is much cheaper.

Ian Bought all the parts new (from what I can tell) and the Jeep.

I mean Wheels and tires alone are $1,500. The lift he said he got for $900 (plus $200 more for the full leaf packs) putting him at $1,100. Then a winch (what $600 for a cheaper one?)
Lockers/Gears/ JEEP.

I don't know man.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

if you pay 1500 for wheels and 33's, just punch yourself in the balls and stop while you are ahead.

what lift? short arms? adjustable? what winch? sure its not cheap xrc what gears? locker? etc?
what did he pay for the jeep?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

after i swap over to other axles/wheels/tires and have 3link done ill still be under 5k into my rig, thatll be full widths, 37's, lockers, lift, cage, winch, 3link, sye, gears, front end, belly skid, sliders, beadlocks etc.

its all how ya approach it
