Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So troy how much for the white one ???

jeebus, your as big a junkie as Yella, except you want troy to do the dirty work!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Not the RENIX.

The sender in the head is for the temp gauge only.

The fan's thermal switch is in the driver's side radiator tank. I think OBDI fan switches are in the water neck, but the RENIX has nothing in the water neck.

The RENIX knock sensor is just above the oil pan, on the driver's side of the block.

The RENIX CTS is in the water jacket, just forward of the engine mount bracket. Instead of a drain plug, they screw in the sender. If you look to the rear of the engine mount bracket, you will see the (other) drain plug in line with the CTS, at the bottom of the water jacket.
Prezackly what I was gonna say...
RENIX: CTS for ECU is on the driver side of the block under the manifolds, gauge sender or dummy light switch is in the driver side rear of the head sticking up next to the valve cover, fan switch is in the radiator tank.
91-96: CTS for ECU is in the thermostat housing, no fan switch (ECU controls fan), and the gauge sender or dummy light switch is in the driver side rear of the head sticking up next to the valve cover. 96 is the goofy year here, it's OBD II but has the old style gauge cluster so it still has the separate gauge sender.
97-01: CTS is in the thermostat housing. Feeds ECU, ECU sends data to IP via CCD bus and controls the fan.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

we have the bod forum
the classified forum
the chapter general bs forum

maybe we should get a "wheelers forum"
so i can quit pissing people off and visa versa

you should start a poll in advanced fab

Re: The Colorado BS thread

for what? if we should have one? i guess i kinda felt it was a no brainer.
we have a place for jeepspeed, street and performance why not wheeling. altho i feel it would be better suited for per chapter usage

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I need a web wheeling section. I web wheel everyday, but only get the chance to wheel every so often.
LOL

Maybe a BS thread in the trip reports or staging area would be good enough.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

dude, having a wheeling forum on a dedicated 4wd enthusiast website is like asking for a handgun form on the glock website, its a bit redundant! Are you having a hard time finding a place to post about wheeling adventures? I seem to be finding the posts :dunno:

I think if you would enjoy your adventures, post them to share, and not accuse everyone else of being slack asses just 'cause we either can't get out as much or don't wheel as hard, you wouldn't piss anyone off (I'm not pissed by the way, I envy your time/energy). Just my $0.02

Re: The Colorado BS thread

i dont get irritated that people dont go out. thats there rig not mine....

i get pissy when the people that dont wheel tell others how to wheel, where to wheel, what works and what doesnt.

i know nothing of your wj and wont try to tell ya a damn thing about it. and wont tell ya where it will and wont work. ill be more than happy to share some fun lines ive found or seen on trails but thats that.

i dont build motors so wont tell ya how to do it - i have no credibility
ill talk your ears off about tires, been working with em everyday almost for 3+ years - i have some credibility there

i guess i am not satisfiable. i just want somewhere that all we do is talk about new lines, old lines, trails to run, plan some trips and do all that and then when its set post it in the staging area.
i dont go into street and performance cuz i dont care. a lot of people here seemingly dont care about trails or wheeling so why clutter the common grounds with that typ eof info

Mike, you tend to create the impression you're irritated, even if you're not, with comments like
GET MOTIVATED
as many of us have plenty of motivation, but not enough time, family commitments, money issues, etc.

I think you're right that you're not satisfiable, but I also enjoy the talk of lines, trails, etc., and think that is exactly what the general discussion forum is for -- if folks don't care about your thread, they can f'n ignore it, and no one should get pissed one way or the other.

I still think everyone should lighten the F up. :sunshine: :D
