Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'd say you're in good shape with 4.56's and a teralow. Looks good, man!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

There was times with 35's and 4.56 on the trail I needed more gearing. Big part of the reason I went with an Atlas.

When I put it in 4 low. It will pretty much crawl anything in it's way with very little gas.
Im sure it will be great with these 35s!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Let me guess..............You know a guy?
Of course I do!!

4.56's and 35's isn't too bad, but if he what's to get the best performace and economy then 4.88's are the E-Ticket.

The gear calculator link I posted is a great tool for comparing 2 different gear ratios side by side. GrimmJeeper did an amazing job putting it togethere.

If we wanted the best performance and economy none of us would be driving lifted Jeeps!

Seriously Frank,
How many folks remember E-Tickets? Those were, as I remember, for the big rides at Disneyland...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I want a teralow:tear: and even more I want an atlas4:mad:

BTW if anyone sees anyone in the CO area trying to sell a teralow for a reasonable price (500-600) let this guy know.

I had heard of and witnessed problems with the Teralow units. That and the price was enough to convince me to go Atlas. I waited for a good deal on a used unit.

Another option is the Rubicon t cases, 241OR. 4:1 and a bolt in mod. I almost went this route before finding a good used Atlas.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

It's a huge deal!
Your heep is gonna explode and kill a bunch of Nuns and Orphans!!:explosion

:moon:
Well in that case......
Break out your cameras!
It's going to be one "HELL" of a picture!!!

Of course I do!!

How bad of shape am I really in?
And how much are we talking for gears?

:roflmao:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I have also witnessed these problems, but I believe they did a revision. I would love a 241OR, but I am confused because people say its bolt in, but on my dads 241OR it has an electronic speedo instead of the gear type that 231s have. There is a Rubicon case on CO4x4 for 1100, but at that price I'm almost half way to a new atlas! I am always fighting in my head if doing a 4-1 is even worth it. I would loose my perfect trail ratio and would still not be enough for the hard rocks(IMO). I really would rather a doubler or to use a planatary box as a doubler, that way I have my trail speed and then a stupid double low.

What I should do is find a wrecked automatic Rubicon and take the auto and 241OR out and then get the Rubi crawler box that goes in the tranny so I have a 1:1, 2.71:1, 4:1, AND 10.something:1!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

^ that price hurts!

Anyone have any plans for an April fools joke? I have already been fooled via Text messages.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I've already fooled a couple people, no plans I just wing it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nice not really much of a ford guy tho. Drove a 2011 with a doorless mod at work (hit on drivers side) liked how it pulled a burnout but don't think it had a SC though.
