Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Triangulated uppers and parallel lowers, dual triangulated, parallel uppers and lowers with a pan hard bar?

Double triangulated.
I'm playing with my numbers a bit, I'd like to be at a little teeny tiny bit above 100%... like 105%... to help when crawling up stuff.
But I'm pretty happy with 93%

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I swear upon all that is holy, at all that is not...

Dammit chrysler! WTF! :smsoap:

The blower motor and ac flustercluck on 97+ models is making me want to string those engineers up by their balls and beat them like pinatas!

Blower motor and heater core in my 98 died today, was going to drive it tomorrow, now it is like driving a cold, unventilated sauna that smells like coolant. And the replacement instructions have me contemplating solving this problem with a road flare and a call to my insurance agent :flamemad:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yeah... I have seen the horror stories. I knew I was gonna do it eventually, I just didn't want it to happen the night before a road trip for thanksgiving!

I'm thinking I will probably half-ass the blower and see if I can make it work, and live with the coolant smell till this weekend, when I can tear into it a bit. Seems I will be bringing spare coolant and emergency block-off supplies for the heater hoses in case it gets worse.

If it ain't one thing, it's another!

I feel your pain, bro, truly. Although in a WJ kinda way.:tears:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Heater core is still leaking a little, but that can continue till Saturday without me caring too much...

Motor failure turned out to be a single VERY melted relay. Glad I noticed it while trying to unplug the harness before pulling the motor. Need to replace the socket but for now I half assed it by retensioning the terminal that melted and jamming a new relay in... bringing spares.

Hope you guys are keeping things off the fan better than I am!

now just gotta figure something out for back half

 Good placement of that "forehead" bar Mike. That's about as good as it gets - just before the bend and high enough that it's not in the line of vision. I imagine it blocks the console computer display, but definitely worth the trade off.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Ya figured that was best spot after playing a while with placement. Still gotta get plates to mount to floor. Ya it does block display and visors are useless now
But having the cage is a big relief.
