Re: The Colorado BS thread

Went with gsxrs4life and another friend last night to run liberty. Completely different trail at night. Both jeeps did great (both xj's on 33's and rear lockers). Only issues was a tierod failure that was a quick fix and gsxrs4life's tcase took a shit on him again. Think he is gonna look into a new option for getting it rebuilt.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

We were climbing back out and he was creeping up a big rock section and the tires stopped turning and there was just ridiculous popping from the case. Anytime there is a lot of pressure it pops and the jeep doesn't go anywhere so we had to get out of there keeping momentum going. Ended up smashing his rockers pretty good from bouncing around but we got him out. I'll text him. He's on the road right now (work)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nope. Every position was causing it to pop. If it was easy going and not so rough it drove great. But as soon as he was trying to go slow and crawl up it sounded like there were grenades going off in middle of jeep.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Any particular reason everyone thinks were nuts for running liberty with that setup? We didn't mess with Indy or patriot. Just liberty. It's not that difficult of a trail. Is there bad joo joo down there or what?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Penrose Colorado. 32 miles south of springs on 115. Liberty is a blast. Only walked the other 2 trails. It's awesome

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Speaking of penrose. Got to watch a few guys run in Indy and out patriot today. Lemme tell ya how awesome that was. First two rigs (fj40 and what's barely able to be called an XJ )drove out the exit unassisted. Great weather kick ass people and some awesome rigs. Uploading pics to photobucket I'll try and remember to post some pics. No breakage and a few close calls but a clean run!!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Here is a few shots.

What used to be an 'xj' on A-hole. He's on 40's full hydro and an ls1.

cj5. On 42's and a 4.0 HO and 160:1 crawl ratio on A-hole.

fj40 with a 350 on 40" creepies drivin the exit. Got out unassisted.

I've got a ton more pics but those are some of my favorites. They dropped in Indy and made it to patriot exit it about 20 minutes later. Then theybeach took a bout 20 minutes to get out exit. Good stuff

My new Jeep!!!

OK, not really, but we should have named her Jeep with the cost involved.

That "Three-paw modification" set us back about five bills, not counting the credit card interest:
