Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Hell, I would scrounge together $100 for it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Welp...got to clean the trailer up and get it ready to move the xj to a spot that is more concrete and asphalt , as today while cutting a door skin right next to my trailer which is mostly dirt I set a fire it was15ft away behind my storage shed ,and despite stopping to check for this every few cuts I missed this and just hapoened to smell it and then notice smoke I thought it was just one small spot so I just went to smother it with my welding blanket , well as I did that I spotted at least 3 other spots in the time it took me to grab the extinguiser it was easily a 10 foot area bush fire , I yelled to my bother on the deck to call the FD and bring a second extibguisher , well he was so stoned he was passed out snoring ...love that Marijuana...this left me looking at having to leave to call the FD leaving the fire , but luckily for me my neighbors were up having a party , and heard me calling my brother, with 10 people in the now 30x30 brush fire it was out I still had the FD called to wet it and check for hot spots ...

I got a nasty burn out of the deal on my forearm it looks like Red skulls skin from Captain America...still kind of pissed that with my brother in plain sight he could be so stoned he was un reachable. ..lol...spent rest of the day cleaning up my trailer getting it ready to transport the Jeep to place that is more concrete and asphalt than kindling ...just can't take that chance again after seeing how even having basic tools to extuinguish a fire is kind of useless with sonething that can move that fast...too fast for one set of hands...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well going to actually dress this burn instead of just letting it scab crack and bleed like my other cuts and burns , so heading off to 24hr walgreens to grab some sterile wet dressings ...lol...these things do not gross me out , but they do others and I love showing forearm wounds to cashiers.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Lucky you!

We used to have Cintas give a first Aid/CPR class. The instructor told us to not put anything on a burn, yet they always seemed to stock burn ointment in the First Aid kits. Go figure!

Yeah I put peroxide on it ...just a quick rinse followed by water...I know that stuff kills living tissue and not to use it but since I did have all kinds if stuff in it I think a quick rinse to kill stuff that may cause my arm to fall off is a solid trade for maybe some extra cosmetic scar ...I have also been blessed with very good pain tolerance ...lol...so washing the wound and removing foreign objects without a doctor and meds is just a trip to the sink .

Anywho ...lol...I know the best ways to dress and care for a wound to speed healing and reduce scar tissue , but yet somehow paper towel and duct tape are what end up on my wounds after a rinse and immediaty return to my project .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

One place I worked at I gave myself a pretty good second degree (steam) burn. I opted for medical attention. I don't remember how they dressed the wound. I remember them handing me a Betadine scrub, telling me to get the dead tissue off, and the astonished looks when they came back to a clean wound. I did keep it covered to keep the wound clean.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Was heading out to 285 on cr43 and traffic was doing 25 in the 45 and a line of cars...lol...look ahead and spot an xj and yj , so I figure they maybe aired down and were driving slow until the loaf and jug to air up...lol...nope they pulled into c store and no air and rolled out at highway speed...you wanna look at the trees pull over and when you're ready to drive get back on the road even my rig can hold 45 safely ...lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Wow, properly covering and apllying antibacerial cream while keeping a wound moist is far superior to just letting scab crack open bleed and scar ...lol...heal time like this on my 2nd degree burn is as quick a good scrape open air .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So...I figure I will be left with a scar from my fire fiasco on about 30% of my right forearm ...lol...Not sure but I may cover it with a tattoo I am thinking either Tsl lugs or Bogger tread ...

You know it's time to get rid of some tires when you have enough to build an RTI ramp to raise a 44tsl 53 inches off the ground ...lol...the tires being flexed on have the beadlocks on them that need to be swapped onto the rig...5 are 38tsl 1 is 39 tsl one is 39 bogger the bogger has a bead rip only good for trail...the rest are in good shape with deep tread if anyone is looking for a set of trail tires cheap these need to go I can't have the storage lot looking like Sanford and son .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Glad I caught this on the pre-trip! That trailer pushes my little XJ around well enough, without any surprises.

Stuff a tube in it and run it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Just RTV the cracks, it'll hold. :D

Ummmm, no! If that did not happen to be staring at me after moving the trailer, I'd have never seen it.

Kind of ironic, but I passed a minivan on C470 with a rear tire bouncing wildly. They were driving pretty slow for me to pass them...

Goin' over the mountain, haven't seen my youngest or her son for over a year.

I need a new picture...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Is there any big advantages going with a 6.0 over the standard lq4 ...Just deciding on the parys to be looking out for because I plan to wheel on the 4.0 for 2017 , but will be putting in a v8 for 2018 .I will be keeping an auto despite my Polack friends who think a stick of crawling .
