Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

They can try. But the law is pretty clear that they have to prove your modification caused the problem before they can deny a warranty coverage, and it doesn't void the warranty in whole, only the issues caused by the modification... You'd likely have a tough time getting coverage for cv's, axle shafts, ball joints, etc...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Toyota has been warranting frames on 2g trucks for rust. Guys with lifts and bigger rims and tires were getting denied. Some weren't. But enough were I see it being an issue if Toyota doesn't just swap em out.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Temping:

98 Cherokee, 4.0L, automatic, 157k miles, 5.5" rubicon express lift, sye, roll cage, arb rear locker and compressor, 4.56 yukon gears, off road bumpers front and rear, 8500 super winch, roof rack, sway bar disconnects, rock sliders, 33" bfg ats, hd diff covers. Runs and drives good.

The bad: was hit in the rear left corner by a fellow off roader (see pics). It doesnt affect driving or handling. The body was jacked out so that a hatch door should fit when a replacement is found.

This jeep runs and drives well, is in good mechanical condition and is very capable off road. It is not a looker and besides the obvious body damage there are scratches and small dings throughout. It was used off road and bears the scars. I dont use it much any more and dont have time to fix it. It would be ideal for someone looking for a cheap, reliable off roader who is happy replacing the hatch and installing steel wrap around guards or something like that or that wants to take the parts and put on a different cherokee or buggy. I wont part it out. Aside from Where it got smacked this is a great jeep and wheels like a champ.

Located in Saratoga, Wyoming but I travel to Ft Collins/Greeley CO area often and could bring it there for someone who's serious.
2,000/obo.

Live in Golden, Lakewood, South Jeffco?

Lock up your XJ's and take further measures (steering wheel locks, kill switches, etc) we have a group of 'bangers that are stealing 2-4 of these jeeps a night over the past couple weeks. Just had 2 stolen in Golden an hour ago.

If you're not gonna lock them up....... make the driver's seat lower part removable and get another one - press 40 or so hypodermic syringe needles up from the bottom and set it in place..... at least they'll get a good lesson and something to remember......... :shhh:

Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree has been getting hit too.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yeah. It's bad in springs right now too. Dad saw em eyeing my sisters rig while she was in town for holidays.

While the topic is up though......

Any good write ups for kill switch? Thinking it is a must in case the lady takes the jeep to work.

I was just wondering the same thing. Also, in certain areas, your local police department will give you The Club for free. Ya, I know they'd just cut the steering wheel if they really wanted the Jeep but it's still a deterrent. I'm in NW/Sunnyside Denver area and they gave me one, might want to check with your local department.
